Hole in One

Congratulations to Hayden Ryan who had a Hole in One on the 5th Hole at Rowville last Saturday 25 October.

New website

We are excited with the launch of the club's new website last Thursday 23 October.  The new website is configured to work on different devices, and it will greatly enhance both the member experience and the club's ability to attract new functions, golf and bowls visitors. To assist, below are some commonly asked questions:

Where do I find Bowls information? Log into the members section and then "Bowls Pennant, Events and News".  

Where do I find "My Results", "My Account", "My Bookings", etc?  Click on "My Information" after logging into the member's section. 

Please feel free to contact Administration or the Pro Shops for any assistance.   

Preferred Lies - Removed 1 November

Effective Saturday 1 November, Preferred Lies will be removed at both the Endeavour Hills and Rowville sites.  

A query was received about drainage lines in the fairways at Rowville.  To clarify, a local rule is currently in place providing relief from depressed drainage lines on the 1st, 12th and 18th fairways only at Rowville.

When: 1 November - 30 November 2025
Who: Churchill-Waverley members only
Handicap: Use you current GA Handicap
Where: Lofoten Links
Format: Stableford, 2 attempts per member and tour auto putting
Best score: $30 house credit
How: Book a session (suggest one hour for one player) and find "Churchill-Waverley Members - November 2025" in tournaments
Cost: No additional charge (normal member simulator rates)

New Bar and Pro Shop Prices - 1 November

Please be advised that new bar and pro shop pricing for drinks and snacks will take effect 1 November.  The club regularly benchmarks with others and endeavours to provide food and beverage at the most reasonable and responsible price.  Members support assists with the overall financial health of your club.  Please remember to use your members card, as members receive a 10% discount, in addition to accruing loyalty points.            

Victorian Junior Masters - Volunteering

The 31st Annual Victorian Junior Masters will be played at Churchill-Waverley (Rowville) from Friday 28 - Sunday 30 November. Former champions include Jason Day, Cameron Smith, Marc Leishman and Yuka Saso. An event of this stature is not possible without the kind support of members to volunteer. If you are interested to assist, please contact Matthew Taylor manager@waverleygolfclub.com.au with the day(s) you are available and your preferred task. A sign-up sheet is also available in the Spikes Bar at Rowville.  Tasks include:
- Spotting
- Photography
- Scoring
- Drinks Station
- Tee Master
- Registration

Golf Events Survey

Thank you to members who completed the Golf Events Member Survey.  Your feedback on golf competitions and events is valued and will be used to help with future planning of the Syllabus in 2026.  

Bowls News 

Thank you to the mid-week pennant team last week for assisting Cranbourne.  Please see below message:

On behalf of the Cranbourne Bowling Club Midweek Pennant Selectors and Club Members, I would again like to Thank you gentlemen, along with your club and members for the amazing effort you both arranged in order for all of us to play round 1 today and then allow us to be finished in time to travel to our friends Funeral at Bunurong.  I estimate, there was over 200 people in the chapel as he was a great family man and friend.  If the same ever arises for you club and you’re playing us, we would do everything in our power to reciprocate the same courtesy.  I greatly appreciate everything.  Best wishes for the season

Taylor Made-Qi35 Competition

Back again for 2025, members have the opportunity to win a Taylor Made Qi35 Driver.  Simply enter the optional Taylor Made Competition (available every competition day with 4 + players) and your score will count for the annual OOM with the overall winner awarded a Taylor Made Qi35 Driver.  Entry to the Taylor Made Competition also provides the opportunity for great daily prizes.  Below is the current leaderboard:

Trackman - Virtual Road to the PGA

Ready to take your swing to the national stage?  Join the Virtual Road to the PGA Tournament, played on Bethpage Black — home of the 2025 Ryder Cup!   Compete on the club's Trackman simulator (competition open to all Trackman simulators in Australia) from Oct 1 – Nov 9 for your shot at the Championship Final at Royal Queensland Golf Club.

Winners will play for 2 x Kirkwood Club tickets to the BMW Australian PGA Championship — valued at $1,250! 

Enter via the Trackman Golf App under “Tournaments”.  Players must have a Trackman handicap and 2 rounds logged.
