Congratulations to Congratulations to Gordan Vrandecic, who recorded a Hole in One on the 11th hole at the Endeavour Hills course last Thursday 27 November. Fantastic effort!

Ladies Golf News

It was a big day this week for the Wednesday Ladies. We were blessed with beautiful summer weather, at last! With several prizes up for grabs, winners on the day were:

A Grade: Heather Richards (+2)

B Grade: Tricia Borman (Even)

Place getters: Jothi Naidoo & Carmel McDougall

Nearest the pin: Joan Palmer (9th hole) and Joan Palmer (11th hole)

December's Monthly Medal goes to Tricia Borman

The playoff for the 2025-star medalist was won by Tricia Borman (well done Tricia). Apologies to Jothi Naidoo who was wrongly presented with the trophy. Thanks for being such a good sport about it, Jothi. We did not have Tricia’s Jan 2025 monthly medal win recorded. OOOPS!!

It was also the Final day of the 2025 Ladies Stroke Championship. The winners are:

UPCOMING events:

Next week, Wednesday 10 December, is Stableford at Endeavour Hills, followed by our Christmas Party on Wednesday 17 December. Ambrose shotgun start at 8am, followed by Christmas lunch. We hope you can join us. Wear your Christmas gear on-course and at lunch if you feel like it. The lunch will be traditional Christmas fare.

There will be no ladies comp on the Wednesday 24 and 31 December.

Victorian Junior Masters

The 31st Annual Victorian Junior Masters was played at Churchill-Waverley (Rowville) last Friday 28 to Sunday 30 November. An exceptional field with interstate and international participants was assembled again with 28 players on a scratch or plus handicap.

Thank you to members who kindly volunteered with Spotting, Photography, Scoring, Drinks, Tee Master and Registration. The event would not be possible without your support.

Hugo Wortley secured the Boys Championship with a birdie on the 54th hole, finishing with a total score of 1-over 211. Following a closely contested playoff, Feiyu Xing prevailed over Sophie Mann to claim the Girls Championship, becoming the youngest champion in the event’s history at just 14 years of age. Our champions have now joined an illustrious honour roll that includes Cameron Smith, Yuko Saso, Marc Leishman, Jason Day, and Aaron Baddeley.

November Bistro

It was a wonderful evening of camaraderie and delicious food for the members and guests who attended Bistro on Friday 28 November. Eighty-five attendees enjoyed the delectable menu and each other’s company, with a birthday or two celebrated along the way.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Bistro throughout the year. We look forward to welcoming members and their guests back to Bistro when it returns in 2026.

Easten League Seniors Pennant

Hi everyone

I am calling for expressions of interest for senior golfers to play in the eastern league pennant competition. Games will commence 30 January 2026 and conclude on 13 March 2026. You must be 55 years or older. We require two teams of 8 players plus reserves. Courses played are Eastwood, Box Hill, Gardiners Run, The Heritage, Yering Meadows, Eastern and Churchill-Waverley (Endeavour Hills). All hit off times are 7.30am. If anyone is interested, could they please email me on leigh_simons@hotmail.com and please provide your mobile phone number. You can also contact David Waters on his email address dnwaters@hotmail.com. Once I have received the expressions of interest, I will divide into the teams based on handicaps.
