Ladies Golf NewsWe would like to welcome our new Lady Golf Members, Carmel
Kenny, Daisy Oh and Cathy Bu. We hope you will be able to join us on a Wednesday morning. I
understand there was some confusion about whether lady members are allowed to
use a cart without a medical certificate during the club championships.
The only restriction on use of carts – applies to adverse course conditions.
There is no requirement to provide a medical certificate to play golf in any
club competition, including major events. The second round of the Ladies club championships
was rained off this week, so it will be amended to a 36-hole competition, with
the final round being played on Wednesday 3 December. Sincere apologies for getting the star medallist date wrong
in a recent newsletter. The playoff for Star Medallist of 2025 will be
played on Wednesday 3 December. The contenders are: Roberta McQuillan,
Tania Walsh, Iwona Wasilewski, Kaylene Ellis (X2), Kaye Pittman, PK Singh,
Veena Mali, Jothi Naidoo, Saras Sanjappa. All the best for a good game on
the day.
Many lady members entered the Gippsland Ladies
Golf Classic earlier in the month. The weather was appalling on the 11th,
and not many people finished on that day. Didn’t stop them having a great time,
catching up with each other and old friends from other clubs. Jenny Ward and Veena Mali - Lady Captains |
