Churchill-Waverley - 

100 Years

Churchill–Waverley is proudly celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The club was formally established in September, so the majority of centenary events will be held during that month. However, a range of initiatives will take place throughout the year.

Two key projects include a digital commemorative book featuring photos and articles, as well as recorded member interviews.  Expressions of interest will be invited shortly.  In the meantime, we encourage Churchill Park and Waverley Foundation members, along with members who joined Churchill–Waverley after the merger, to begin preparing any content they may wish to contribute.      

18th Fairway at Rowville - Turfing

The next course enhancement project will be turfing a further section of the 18th hole at Rowville. Tif Tuf Bermuda was successfully turfed last year in a trial section and will now be continued in a second larger section.  The project is planned for Wednesday 14 January (subject to weather).  Kind volunteer support assists greatly with projects such as this.  If you are available, please arrive for a 7.30 am start and bring gloves and suitable attire/hat.

Nine & Dine is back!

After a break over the Christmas and New Year period, Nine & Dine is back, next Thursday 15 January. Nine holes and golf $27 for members or $37 for non-members or dinner only $27.  Below is a sample menu (additional weekly specials offered):

Golf Australia Men's Pennant - EOI

Churchill-Waverley will be participating in Golf Australia Men's Pennant - Division 6 this year.  Played from Sunday 15 March to Sunday 26 April, members have the opportunity to represent their club in gross matchplay.  We are seeking expressions of interest from members who are interested in potentially joining the squad.  If you would like to be considered for the squad, please advise manager@waverleygolfclub.com.au      

Practice Fairway - Rowville

Please be advised that the Practice Fairway at Rowville is closed Monday and Wednesday from 6.30 am - 9.30 am to allow for the safe collection of golf balls and mowing.  Thank you for your assistance.

Bowls News

Our newest bowls member, Maria Konstas will be competing in the Eastern Ranges Regional Novice Singles event at Mulgrave Country Club. The two-day event will be on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 January.

On Saturday 10 January, Maria will start the day as a Marker and then play 2 games at 12.00 and 3.00pm. We wish Maria every success.

Taylor Made-Qi35 Competition

A final audit of the results from the 2025 Taylor Made-Qi35 Competition is being completed before confirmation of the winner shortly. 

The Taylor Made Competition is back again for 2026. Members have the opportunity to win a Taylor Made Driver (Model to be advised).  Simply enter the optional Taylor Made Competition (available every competition day with 4 + players) and your score will count for the annual OOM with the overall winner awarded a Taylor Made Driver (Model to be advised).  Entry to the Taylor Made Competition also provides the opportunity for great daily prizes.
